The Cabinetry: Two Finishes, One Cohesive Look

For this project, NRC designed the kitchen using KraftMaid cabinetry in the R. Lyndale door style — a clean shaker profile that works beautifully in both traditional and transitional spaces. We specified two distinct finishes to add visual depth: Maple Frost on the upper cabinets for a lighter, airier feel near the ceiling, and Maple Ginger on the lowers, utility, and pantry cabinets for a rich, grounded warmth at eye level. The result is a kitchen that feels layered and intentional without being fussy.

Sullivan bar pulls in satin nickel finish keep the hardware classic and cohesive throughout.

Countertops & Sink: Clean Contrast That Anchors the Space

The countertops are Calacatta Raveo quartz — a soft white stone with delicate grey veining that brings just enough movement without competing with the warm maple tones. With an eased edge and a 5.5" raised bar riser at the peninsula, the surface feels polished but approachable.

The sink is a Ruvati single-bowl white farmhouse apron sink — a natural fit for the cottage aesthetic — paired with a Moen Brantford faucet in spot-resist stainless. A dedicated beverage faucet at the sink keeps the kitchen functional for a busy household.

Smart Storage From Every Angle

No cottage kitchen is complete without thoughtful storage. This layout includes lazy Susans at both corner base cabinets, roll trays throughout for easy access, a dedicated dishwasher cabinet, and a tall utility tower that handles brooms and pantry items without sacrificing style. Every inch was planned to work as hard as it looks good.
